Captain Marval

Adobe Photoshop
2019
This work of art was the first in my digital media class. I selected an image of my favorite super hero for the background. Then we buddied p to take pictures of ourselves to place in the photo to make ourself the super hero. Using a promo image of Captain Marvel, Bree Larson and added my power pose. Using the Adobe Photoshop, I copied the original image into the program and my own image. I pasted my image over the character and cropped out any of the original hero. I used the tools within Photoshop to blend the colors and make it look like it was truly me in that scene.

Space & Time: Black Hole
Rhonda McLelland
Raster in Adobe Illustrator
2019
This work of art was created to take normal everyday items and show the chaos around us every day. I used my mood for the day I put this piece together of feeling the loss of control. Using an image of my daughter’s dog that I took in San Diego, a clock, a flying car and a dilapidated house, I placed them around a stock image of a person falling into a black hole. The clock represents time and how it flies away if not intentional about it. The dog is our little guy mascot but if we don’t watch him, he gets into some dark, messy situations. My car and house always need repair and they are a black hole for my money. I am the person falling in the black hole and I feel that way most days.

Cartoon of Me
Rhonda McLelland
Vector in Adobe Illustrator
2019
This work is one of my headshots after a hair appointment and one of my favorites. The colors are vibrant and include one of the many moles on my neck. It is meant to be a funnier, cartoon version of me. The biggest challenge I had was the teeth, the hair and trying to figure out what to do with all the wrinkles. I chose to leave them off. It was vary difficult to keep a steady hand and to really make some of the contours appear factual.

This work was created from a sketch I drew for my current business in photography. My love of nature photography inspired this image and my logo is a pseudo name of the first initial of my first name and my middle name. The colors are bright and airy to match the whimsical drawing. The swirls are symbols of life and growth; the heart is love and the camera is a tool to capture moments in time. The full image captures my love of nature photography.

Peaceful
Rhonda McLelland Sound in Adobe Audition 2019 This work is focused on relaxation and was supposed to be a soothing, but it came out a little more like Children of the Corn. All the sounds were mine. I used rocks by picking them up and dropping them, a water facet running, the strumming of my guitar and i was humming the song Lavender's Blue. When I combined the sounds, I used fading to create ebbs and flows in the sound rhythm and volume. |

Serenity
Rhonda McLelland Video in Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 This work of art is a video meant to give the audience a break. The videos and stills were taken in Jerome and Sedona Arizona in Marcy 2019. Rather than using actual music, the sounds recorded with the videos were used throughout the entire project. Words were added to remind us all to breathe by inhaling through one image and exhaling through another. The final two images are meant to take us back to reality with the bridge and ending with a common yoga term of Namaste which means I bow to you. I used the Adobe Premiere program to connect a lnd of still images and videos together to make one cohesive video for relaxations. |

Eyes on You
Rhonda McLelland Animation in Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro 2019 This work of art is a stop motion video. I took over 700 images with different scenes. The topic of this video is the country song by Chase Rice, "Eyes on you". Using my iPhone as the male lead role and my daughters underwater camera as the female lead, they played out the song in photo image of the places from the song. The eyes were made really big to go along with the song title. After shooting all the images, I used Adobe Audition program to match the music with the stop motion video images. |
